Below is an email that MFPD Chief White sent out in regard to a letter to the editor in the Call newspaper from Dr. Eric Knost of the Mehlville School District complimenting Firefighter/Paramedics John Jones (a seasoned veteran) and Jason Ryan (a recent hire) on their actions on a response to his residence. For anyone not aware, two of our members were mentioned in the Call Newspaper under “Letters to the editor” for their professionalism and grace. This letter was written by Dr. Eric Knost of the Mehlville School District . I know him personally and he is a man of integrity. He would have never written what he did if were not true. He not only wanted the community to know that John Jones and Jason Rhyne were excellent and professional, but that the entire force of the Mehlville Fire Protection District operates in that capacity. You are excellent individuals that as a team, anything can be accomplished. If you get a chance, read this week’s Call for the entire letter. What a great job you all do! You make the Department proud…you make the community proud.
